Confirming the Settings on the Printer or MFP

To use RICOH Print Support Application, the printer or MFP settings need to be as shown below. Confirm these settings.

How to confirm using your web browser (Web Image Monitor)*1

IPP

Enabled
(Factory-set value: Enabled)

  1. Log in to Web Image Monitor as a network administrator.

  2. Click [Device Management] [Configuration], in this order.

  3. Click [IPv4] in [Network], and confirm that [IPP] is enabled. If it is disabled, switch it to enabled.

Device Certificate

Installed
(Factory-set value: Installed)

  1. Log in to Web Image Monitor as a network administrator.

  2. Click [Device Management] [Configuration], in this order.

  3. Click [Device Certificate] in [Security].
    Confirm the following conditions for [Certificate1]:

    • "Certificate Status" must be "Installed".

    • The certificate must have a valid expiration date in "Validity Period".

    If an error message appears, see the web manual for your machine.

SSL/TLS

Active
(Factory-set value: Active)

  1. Log in to Web Image Monitor as a network administrator.

  2. Click [Device Management]  [Configuration], in this order.

  3. Click [SSL/TLS] in [Security].

  4. Confirm that the following settings are active. If it is inactive, switch it to active.

    • The version of the internet protocol you are using for "SSL/TLS".

    • [TLS1.1] or higher in "SSL/TLS Version".

IPP Authentication

  • User Authentication Function Main Unit

  • Authentication

  • Off
    (Factory-set value: Off)

  • Inactive
    (Factory-set value: Inactive)

  1. Log in to Web Image Monitor as a network administrator.

  2. Click [Device Management]  [Configuration], in this order.

  3. Click [IPP Authentication] under "Security", and check that the settings are specified as listed below.

    • [Off] in [User Authentication Function Main Unit]

    • [Inactive] in [Authentication]

    If a different setting is specified in each item, change the setting to [Off] or [Inactive].
