Inheriting RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan Settings

You can import and apply the RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan settings to RICOH Smart Device Connector.

Note

  • If RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan is installed on the device, a dialog prompting you to inherit its settings appears.

  • When the settings are inherited, the previous RICOH Smart Device Connector settings are overwritten.

  • The device information already registered to RICOH Smart Device Connector is added without overwriting existing data.

Inheritable Settings

The following settings can be inherited.

  • Print settings

  • Scan settings

  • Authentication settings

  • Information about the registered devices

Inheriting Settings Using the [Settings] Menu

Settings can also be inherited using the [Settings] menu.

  1. On the menu of RICOH Smart Device Connector, swipe left or right to select [Settings].

  2. Tap [Import Settings].

  3. Tap [Next].
    If the version of the installed RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan is older than the oldest compatible version, a confirmation message giving the option to update to the latest version appears.

Note

  • Settings inheritance is supported by version 2.5.0 or later of RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan.
