Device connection errors

Failed to find the machine. Please refer to Troubleshooting in the user manual. Then check your network.

  • The machine is offline (The machine is turned off, or either of them is not connected to the network). Turn on the machine, and set it online. See the machine's manual.

  • Energy saving mode is enabled on the MFP’s control panel, and the power to the wireless LAN interface is turned off. Press any button on the control panel of the MFP or touch the display panel so that the MFP recovers from energy saving mode.

Either the NFC was touched incorrectly or it is unsupported. Please ensure the NFC is supported and that the NFC tag is touched firmly enough to read it.

  • The NFC was tapped incorrectly, and the information cannot be read. Try again, making sure to tap the NFC tag firmly with the smart device.

  • An NFC tag of an unsupported specification (other than Type-B) was read. Use the NFC tag provided with the machine.

  • An NFC tag initialized incorrectly was read. Use the NFC tag provided with the machine.

Incorrect information has been found. Please check the information on the NFC tag.

The entered information was incorrect. Check the information, and enter the correct information.

Failed to connect the machine. Please check the machine's settings and IP address.

  • The machine is offline (the machine is turned off or is not connected to the network). Set the machine online. See the machine's manual.

  • The entered IP address was wrong. Check the entered IP address, and enter the correct IP address.

Failed to write data entered because it exceeds the limit of NFC tag. Please reduce data size.

The size of the data to be written exceeds the memory capacity of the NFC tag.

  • Use the NFC tag that is provided with the machine.

  • Reduce the amount of the data such as the number of setting items or character to be written, and write to the NFC tag again.
