Writing the Network Settings to the NFC Tag of the Machine

Important

  • Write the network settings to an NFC tag when the administrator authentication is enabled on the device. Writing the settings to an NFC tag must be performed by the administrator.

  • When writing the network settings to an NFC tag that is affixed to the Smart Operation Panel, ensure not to hit the Smart Operation Panel while tapping the NFC tag with the smart device, so that the screen of the Smart Operation Panel may not be damaged.

1Enable the Wi-Fi connection of your smart device, and connect to the network the machine connects to.

2Log in as the machine administrator from the Smart Operation Panel.

3Start [Smart Device Connector] on the Smart Operation Panel.

4Press [Operation panel screen illustration].

5For users enabled to use the Wireless Direct function on the Smart Operation Panel, select the [Allow Usage by Guests] checkbox.

6Select [Allow Bluetooth Connection] when using Bluetooth to connect to the machine or using the smart device for authentication.

7If you are using HTTPS connection, select [Use HTTPS Connection].

8Press [Exit].

A QR code appears on the Smart Operation Panel. Perform Steps 9 and later on your smart device.

9On the menu of RICOH Smart Device Connector, swipe left or right to select [Settings].

10Tap [Write data to NFC tag].

11Tap [MFP / Printer].

12Tap [Write data to NFC tag].

13Tap [Next].

14Scan the QR code on the screen of the machine using the camera of your smart device.

15Tap the [Write] button, and then tap the NFC tag affixed on the machine with the smart device.

If the data is successfully written to the tag, the data write completion screen appears.
