Config Reference: TCP/IP
Protocol
Shows whether or not the Network Interface Board is configured to use the TCP/IP protocol.
IP Address
Shows the IP address of the Network Interface Board.
Subnet Mask
Shows the subnet mask of the Network Interface Board. This is used to set a portion of the IP address as the network address.
Default Gateway Address
Shows the default gateway address, which is the host/router used as the communicate to other networks.
Access Control Address / Access Control Mask
When an IP address is used and the number of workstations which can use the scanner must be limited, the access control address and the access control mask can be used.
Using the concept of subnets, the computers allowed access to the printers can be limited by using the Access Control Mask. See the table below for an example when 192.168.15.16. is assigned to the Network Interface Board as the Access Control Address.

Network Boot
Shows a method to specify the address using the computer.
You can select one of the following methods include ARP+PING, RARP+TFTP, BOOTP and DHCP.

Frame Type
