Network Config : TCP/IP
Protocol
Indicates whether or not the network interface board is configured to use the TCP/IP protocol.
IP Address
IP address of the network interface board.
Subnet Mask
Subnet mask of the network interface board. This is used to set a portion of the IP address as the network address.
Default Gateway Address
Address of the host/router used as gateway to communicate with other subnets.
Access Control Address / Access Control Mask
When an IP address is used and the number of work stations which can print must be limited, the access control
address and the access control mask can be used.
Using the concept of subnets, the computers allowed access to the printers can be limited by using the Access Control Mask. See the table below for an example when 192.168.15.16. is assigned to the network interface board as the Access Control Address.
| Access Control Mask | Address with access |
| 0.0.0.0 | xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx |
| 255.0.0.0 | 192.xxx.xxx.xxx |
| 255.255.0.0 | 192.168.xxx.xxx |
| 255.255.255.0 | 192.168.15.xxx |
| 255.255.255.255 | 192.168.15.16 |
