Configuration : NetBEUI
Configure the Network Interface Board or 802.11b Interface Unit settings related to the NetBEUI protocol here.
Protocol
Select whether the NetBEUI protocol is enabled or disabled for the Network Interface Board or 802.11b Interface Unit.
Workgroup Name
Input the name of the workgroup to which the Network Interface Board or 802.11b Interface Unit belongs. The factory default is "WORKGROUP".
Use 1 to 15 characters (except "*+,/:;<=>?[\]|.space) in the name.
Computer Name:
Input the name of the printer to be detected with the NetBEUI protocol. The factory default is "RNP" followed by the last 6 characters of the MAC address of the Network Interface Board or 802.11b Interface Unit. For example, a Network Interface Board with a MAC address of 00:00:74:62:5C:65 would be named RNP625C65.
Use 1 to 13 uppercase alphanumeric characters (except "*+,/:;<=>?[\]|.space) in the name. A name beginning with RNP cannot be used.
Do not have 2 or more printers with the same name on the same network.
Comment:
Input additional information about the Network Interface Board or 802.11b Interface Unit. Use 1 to 31 characters. This is the same as the comment set under [Config Reference] - [General] - [Comment].
Share Name:
Shows the name of the printer containing the Network Interface Board or 802.11b Interface Unit.
Notify Print Completion
Select "Active" if you want to be alerted when the print job is completed.
When using Windows 95/98/Me, you have to run the WINPOPUP.EXE program in the [Windows] folder to have a popup appear when the print job is completed.
