Note:
If you select Same as Application with Layout or 2 sided printing, depending on the application used, problems such as the first and last page being printed on the same sheet might occur since document separation might not be correctly detected. In this case, select Printer Collate.
If you select Printer Collate, the amount of data passed to the printer is reduced compared to when using an application's collate function, which might result in faster printing. For example, if you are printing three sets of a two page document and the application's collate function is used, six pages of data may be sent to the printer depending on the application used. If the printer driver's collate function is used, only two pages of data (P1, P2) is sent to the printer which then generates the remaining sets (P1, P2, P1, P2).
To apply stacking options, select Same as Application and set the application's collate function to "OFF" in the Print dialog box.
Depending on the printer you are using, this function may require an additional memory or the optional hard disk to be installed on the printer and selected on the Accessories tab.
Open the printing preferences dialog box after creating a document in an application.
Click the Frequently Used Settings tab or the Basic menu of the Detailed Settings tab.
In the Copies: box, enter the number of copies you want to print.
If the Frequently Used Settings tab is open, click the Detailed Settings tab.
Click the Output Settings menu, select Printer Collate in the Collate: list.
Click Collate Details to select the collate type you require.
Depending on the printer you are using, Rotating Collate and Shift Collate might not be available.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
After making any other necessary settings, click OK to close the printing preferences dialog box.
Start printing.
